Gone are the days when watches were considered ordinary devices responsible for merely telling the time. Over the last few decades, wristwatches have evolved a lot – both in terms of their looks and functions. The former, especially, proves to be pivotal when trying to pick the perfect watch for women.
With all due respect to male readers, most of you don’t have anywhere near the eye for detail the majority of women do. Sometimes that plays into men’s hands – picking the watch or any fashion accessory for that matter, isn’t such a chore!
The mission to pick the right timepiece can get even tougher for gals if the budget is limited. Not wanting to break the bank is all fine but at the same time, there’s no point in getting a watch that won’t get past the first year. To make the mission easier and less time consuming, I have prepared a list of the 10 best women’s watches under 200 bucks.
The list below is divided into two parts. In the first one, you will find my top 3 picks. One was selected based on the overall quality, another because of the rich list of features and another because of durability.
If none of the top 3 choices cater to your taste, additional 7 models can be found further down the article. I wish you the best of luck selecting just one!

Best Women’s Watches Under $200 (Top 3 Reviewed)
Tissot T0642102201100
They say “simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” and I think it applies brilliantly to this classic, minimalist timepiece from the well-established Swiss watchmaker, Tissot.
The T0642102201100 model belongs to Tissot’s T-Lady collection, a line that’s been exclusively designed for women. T-Lady watches are known for their elegance and style but also for excellent precision and durability.
Naturally, one of the key things that distinguish the collection from other Tissot lines is the case size. To suit the slender wrist of a woman, T-Lady watches come with cases that measure no more than 35mm in diameter. The model described here uses a tiny 28mm stainless steel case which will look great even on the tiniest of wrists.
The watch comes with a minimalist, analog white dial perfectly complemented by classic silver-tone hands and hour markers. Essentially, the watch’s face is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal dial. It’s one of the most scratch-resistant materials out there and is rarely seen in timepieces under $200.
The three-link band is a combination of ceramic and stainless steel and uses a deployment clasp with a double push-button closure. The watch is probably best-suited to casual or official style and it shows in its water resistance. With the 30m WR rating, it’s safe for occasional splashes of water but shouldn’t be used while swimming or doing any other water sports.
Taking into consideration the high level of craftsmanship, top-quality materials and the never-failing Swiss quartz movement, this Tissot T-Lady model is my top overall pick when it comes to best women’s watches under $200.
The Good
- Swiss quality craftsmanship
- Sapphire crystal dial
- Swiss movement
- Case size suitable for all wrist types
The Bad
- No luminosity
Michael Kors MKT5063
If you value refined style but at the same time would like to get a feature-packed product, look no further than Michael Kors MKT5053.
Since the release of the first smartwatch back in 2016, the American fashion brand has added a handful of new wearables to the collection. The model described here belongs to the Access Gen 4 line and is one of the most popular yet super-affordable releases.
The watch runs on Wear OS, meaning it’s compatible with both Android smartphones and iPhones. Nevertheless, it’s best to own an Android phone in order to use all of the smartwatch’s most sought-after features such as being able to respond to text messages, emails, or calls from your wrist.
Since we already touched upon the features of this capable wristwatch, it’s the perfect time to mention some other useful functions. Probably topping the list is the 24/7 heart-rate monitor which gives you a solid insight into your everyday well-being and stress levels.
The smartwatch is also a great choice for those who value regular physical activity. Apart from the pedometer that helps you keep track of the number of steps throughout your day, the device comes with a GPS as well as a plethora of fitness-related apps, ie. for gym workouts or jogging.
Moving on to the design of the watch, the case measures 39mm in diameter. It’s fairly bigger than the Tissot model above but should still look fine on most wrist sizes.
The version of the watch included on the list is rose gold but there are different color variations to choose from, including gold and black and white. The smartwatch naturally comes with a touch-screen dial. The watch face is highly adjustable with hundreds of free themes available in the Android Store.
Like the Tissot model above, the Michael Kors Access Gen smartwatch has a water-resistant rating of 30m.
Since it’s a smartwatch, it needs regular charging. And quite frankly this is the only area in which the American brand could have done as far as this model is concerned. The smartwatch has a battery life that averages 24 hours, meaning you will have to charge it during nighttime.
The Good
- Most feature-packed watch on the list
- Compatible with Android and iOS
- Heart Rate monitor
- Fitness apps
- Many free watch faces
The Bad
- Battery life could be better
G-Shock GMAS110MP
We’ve already had the most feature-rich watch so it’s time for the one that will be the toughest to break. And, as far as rugged timepieces are concerned, there are not many that can outperform Casio G-Shocks.
The pink-themed model, designed primarily for ladies, comes with quite a massive 49mm case. Frankly, it’s a fairly standard size for a G-Shock. At the same time, it’s probably for women that don’t mind carrying something heavier and more noticeable on their wrists.
Both the case and the band are made from highly durable and easy-to-clean resin. The strap is easily adjustable thanks to the tang buckle closure. The analog dial is protected by a scratch-resistant mineral crystal. The G-Shock model has by far the strongest water resistance and can withstand depths of up to 200m. Since it’s a G-Shock, it’s also shock-resistant.
The watch is powered by a super-precise Japanese quartz movement and comes with lots of perks. Those include the World Time feature that allows you to set the time in 29 Time Zones (48 Cities) in a matter of seconds. Other essential features include a pre-programmed calendar until 2099, 5 daily alarms, a stopwatch, and a countdown timer. The LED backlight with the afterglow effect ensures easy time-reading after dusk.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Toughest watch on the list
- 200m water-resistance
- Mineral crystal dial
- Resistant to shocks
The Bad
- Massive case that might not suit all wrist types

The version of the watch presented here is rose gold but, just like in the case of the Michael Kors smartwatch above, there are other color variations to choose from.

The three chronograph sub-dials can definitely help you keep track of some physical activities while the rhinestone-decorated case and hour markers won’t look out of place during more official meetings.
The case measures 38mm in diameter and is made from stainless steel, just like the deployment clasp bracelet. The dial window is made from hardened mineral crystal, guaranteeing solid protection against cracks and scratches.
Like most products on the list, this Fossil model is powered by a quartz movement and will provide solid accuracy of +/- 15 seconds a month. The water resistance is rated at 100m, allowing for frequent contact with water that includes swimming or even snorkeling.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Mineral crystal dial
- Chronograph sub-dials
- Luminous
- Water-resistant (100m)
The Bad
- At the price quoted, hard to find any
Bulova 98L217
After Michael Kors and Fossil, Bulova is the third watchmaker on the list originating from the United States. It’s also one with by far the richest tradition and experience in the industry.
The 98L217 model is one of the hot-selling timepieces in the Classic line, a Bulova collection with probably the most elegant and minimalistic watches. It’s run on Japanese quartz movement and ensures excellent accuracy.
Similar to the Tissot watch discussed before, this one comes with a really tiny stainless steel case that measures just 28mm in diameter. The bracelet is too made from the same material and comes with a push-button foldover clasp with safety.
The analog dial includes gold-tone luminous hands and hour markers that blend in perfectly with the white dial. Protecting the watch face from damage is a hardened mineral crystal glass.
When it comes to water resistance, the model can withstand a depth of up to 30m.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Tiny case suitable for all wrist types
- Mineral crystal dial
- Luminous hands
The Bad
- Water-resistance could be better
Michael Kors MK4338
After the feature-packed Michael Kors smartwatch that made the top three, it’s time for something more minimalistic from the American brand.
The MK4338 model belongs to the Pyper collection that’s dedicated to creating elegant style highly appreciated by minimalists. The model you see here is stainless steel and silver tone but there are as many as 25 design variations to choose from that also include leather straps. All versions of the watch share the same elegant style with a modern splash of trend-right touches.
The watch features a 38mm stainless steel case and a bracelet with a deployment clasp with safety. The analog dial, powered by a Japanese quartz movement, is again protected by a mineral crystal glass. Both the watch hands and the hour markers are luminous.
On the waterproofing front, the timepiece can withstand a depth of up to 50m. That means it can easily be worn during a shower or swimming in shallow depths.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Mineral crystal dial window
- Luminous watch hands and markers
- Water-resistant (50m)
The Bad
- At the price quoted, hard to find any
Anne Klein AK/2706CHBK
There are not many brands that provide as good a value at as low a cost as this one. If you were willing to spend up to $200 today, prepare to spend a lot less with this minimalistic model from Anne Klein.
Since its foundation in 1968, the New York-based watchmaker has been consistently delivering attention-worthy timepieces often at the fraction of the cost offered by the competitors. Unlike any other brand on the list, Anne Klein designs watches exclusively for women and the brand has by far the widest spectrum of styles to select from.
The model picked here comes with a rectangular 28mm stainless steel case and a black leather strap with buckle closure. In terms of the dial window durability, it’s not any worse than other products on the list as it’s also made from mineral crystal.
The watch presents a minimalistic, analog dial with gold-tone watch hands and hour markers. The movement in the case of this watch is yet again Japanese quartz.
Consider this Anne Klein model an excellent budget option if you plan to wear it mostly during the day as the watch doesn’t offer any form of luminosity. What’s important to point out is that it’s not water-resistant.
Read Anne Klein watches review to learn more about the brand.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Small case size suitable for all wrist sizes
- Mineral crystal dial
- Genuine leather band
- Cheapest watch on the list
The Bad
- Isn’t water-resistant
- No luminosity
Fossil ES3838
That’s the second Fossil watch on the list and by no means is it any less impressive than the predecessor, is it?
The Original Boyfriend, because that’s the name under which this model is mostly known, comes with an oversized design that flirts with femininity in a unique way.
The watch comes with a 38mm stainless steel case and a navy blue leather strap with standard buckle closure. The high durability standards are kept with the hardened mineral crystal dial.
Similar to the previous model, Fossil ES3838 comes with a sophisticated watch face featuring three chronograph sub-dials and a date window at 4 o’clock. The hour and minute hands are luminous, just like the hour markers. The watch runs on a Japanese quartz movement.
With a 50m water resistance, it’s okay to wear the watch during a shower or while swimming at shallow depths. Because of the leather strap that’s much more prone to damage, it’s highly advised any contact with fluids is kept to a minimum.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Mineral crystal dial
- Chronograph sub-dials
- Water-resistant up to 50m
The Bad
- Frequent contact with water will wear off the band
Seiko SUP173
After Casio, Seiko is the second Japanese watch brand featured on the list. There’s a stark difference in styles offered by the two watch moguls and the Seiko collection is definitely the more elegant.
Quite frankly, Seiko is one of my favorite watchmakers because of its solar technology. The vast majority of Seiko timepieces are powered by the sun so they don’t require battery changes at all. Apart from allowing you to save money, it’s also a super environment-friendly approach. In the case of this model, the power reserve is 12 months when fully charged.
The comment-worthy model comes with the smallest case on the list that measures just 22,5mm in diameter. The bracelet is made from the same material and has a push-button deployment clasp closure. Both the case and the bracelet are decorated with genuine Swarovski crystals.
The mother-of-pearl dial is protected by a Hardlex crystal that’s on a very similar level durability-wise to the mineral crystal present in most watches on the list. With 30m water resistance, the watch can easily withstand occasional splashes of water.
The Good
- Japanese quartz movement
- Solar-powered
- Small case that looks great on all wrists
- Genuine Swarovski crystals
The Bad
- Sapphire crystal glass would’ve been perfect at this price
- Water resistance could be better

The watch comes with a rectangular stainless steel case with a diameter of 39mm. The case is decorated with rhinestones. Definitely, the standout feature of this model is the layered chain bracelet that uses a standard jewelry clasp with push-button. The links in the bracelet are self-adjustable.
The analog dial is powered by a Japanese quartz movement and protected from damage by mineral crystal glass. When it comes to water resistance, this Guess model can withstand a depth of up to 30m.
